To this day there are no certified 100% organic hair colours in existence (if there were, we would be using them!) Sadly there are manmade chemicals that are currently necessary to cover grey hair for anything more than a temporary result. This makes it impossible to obtain an organic certification for hair colours.

Brands that use the term “organic colour” are therefore not technically correct, and get away with it due to lax labelling laws that allow them to call their product organic with only 1% of organic ingredients in them.
